THOMASENA SUBER was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 20, 1949 to Carrie Mae and the late Donald Wilson. She was educated in the Philadelphia School System. Thomasena continued her education and became a medical assistant. She worked at Mercy Douglas Hospital until its closing. She then went on to work at Presbyterian Hospital for many years. Her patients adored her. She had a way of making them smile. For the past ten years, Thomasena worked as a security guard at a downtown apartment complex, where she befriended many of the seniors by running errands for the. Thomasena enjoyed going to church with her mother and loved singing on the choir. She was saved at an early age.
When Thomasena's mother became ill, she took on being her sole caregiver. Thomasena and her mother were very close. She was a very loving person and if you met her you would never forget her.
The Lord in His infinite wisdom called our beloved Thomasena home to rest on June 1, 2009.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lottie Mae Wilson. Left to mourn her precious memories are: her mother, Carrie Mae Wilson; four aunts, Dinella Ashby, Chaney Reid, Frances Reid and Bertha Reid all of Richmond, Virginia; one uncle, S. J. Reid of Richmond, Virginia; and a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.
